PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT
A Psychological Assessment may be conducted for a variety of reasons but generally involves a psychologist assessing the emotional, cognitive and behavioural impacts of an individual and forming an opinion or formulation of their psychological functioning. A psychologist will gather information from a variety of sources in conducting an assessment including interview, consultation and reports from other sources such as medical professionals and formal psychological testing.
At the end of the assessment a Psychological Assessment report will be produced and can be used for a variety of purposes depending on the requirements of the individual with who the assessment is conducted. These reports may be used for legal purposes, insurance claims, forensic settings, government social security assessments or recommendations for treatment.
Psychological Assessment Reports requested by an individual or organisation attract varying fees depending on the detail and purpose for which they are constructed.
